Groups and Consultations
Below you can find out all the ways you can access our services. Please make sure you read all the information so you know what to expect. You can always message us with any questions.
What we can do at a drop in session
A fit check of your own sling (no charge, but limit to 1 per session)
Fit you with one of our slings in a front or side carry (limit 2 to try on, time dependant) to hire
Hire a sling to you (£10 for the first week, £7 a week after that if extending hire). If there is a specific sling you are hoping to hire, please contact us ahead of time to make sure we bring it along.
Chat to you about cloth nappies, either your own or if you are interested in hiring from us
Arrange a nappy hire with you (£20 for 4 weeks for a full kit, other options available). We will not be able to have all the nappy hire kits with us at sessions so we will most likely need to arrange for you to pick it up/drop it off to you.
Just have a chat about life in general if you just need some friendly faces!
***Hires will be from a Wednesday to Wednesday if you are returning your hire to the drop in. Items being returned to one of our lockboxes (BH6 or BH10) will need to be returned by Tuesday evening so we have them available at the next drop in. You can pay to extend hire up to 4 weeks.***
What we CAN'T do at a drop in session
Back Carrying - this is too in depth of a thing to cover at a drop in session for free!
A full in depth trial of lots of different slings.
The drop in is generally not suitable for newborns/those brand new to babywearing if you are looking for a sling, but definitely come along for a chat!
What do do instead? - Please book a private consultation or group workshop
You are of course welcome to come along to the drop in for a chat and to find out more about what we do, but just be aware that we may suggest you book an appointment if you need more than what we are able to do at the drop in.
One to One Consultation
For those who need or want a more personalised 1 to 1 session, private consultations are available to book. These are at Caroline's house in Tuckton. There is one option for appointments for private consultations, these are £25 and are around an hour, sometimes shorter or longer depending on needs. These appointments are available on Tuesdays, and Wednesday afternoons after the drop in, as well as every other Saturday. There will sometimes be later appointments available on other days of the week (get in touch to enquire about appointments other days).
Group Workshop
If you'd like to come with a friend or 2 you can book a group workshop. These are around an hour and half for 2 people and around 2 hours for 3 people. Similar to a private consultation just not quite as personalised. To book a group workshop, check the times above but then message Caroline before booking to check she can accommodate the longer time.
